Rental Terms & Conditions

Documents required

A valid passport or national ID, and a valid driving license held for at least 1 year, are required for every rental. International visitors should bring their driving license together with their passport.

Driver age

The minimum driver age is 21 for city/economy cars and 25 for premium and SUV vehicles. Drivers under 25 renting premium/SUV vehicles may be subject to a young-driver surcharge.

Security deposit

A refundable security deposit is required at pickup, ranging from EUR 300 to EUR 1000 depending on the vehicle category. The deposit is held via cash or card pre-authorization and returned in full after the vehicle is inspected and returned in its original condition.

Fuel policy

Vehicles are provided with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the missing fuel plus a refueling service fee will be deducted from the deposit.

Mileage

All rentals include unlimited kilometers within Albania unless otherwise stated.

Insurance

Standard basic insurance is included in every rental, covering third-party liability and basic collision damage with an excess amount. Optional full or zero-excess coverage is available on request for an additional daily fee.

Cancellation & changes

• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup.
• Cancellations within 48 hours of pickup, or no-shows, may be subject to a cancellation fee of one rental day.
• Changes to pickup/drop-off time or location can be arranged via WhatsApp, subject to availability.

Late returns

A grace period of 59 minutes is allowed. Returns beyond this may be charged an additional day at the standard daily rate.

Pickup & delivery

Free pickup is available at Tirana International Airport. Hotel and city delivery can be arranged in advance. Contact us via WhatsApp to confirm availability and any delivery fee for your location.

Accidents & damage

In the event of an accident, the driver must immediately contact Absolute Auto Rental and, where required by law, notify the police. Damage not covered by the selected insurance will be assessed and charged according to repair costs, up to the value of the deposit.

Vehicle tracking

For security and fleet management purposes, our vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking devices. This data is used solely for fleet safety, theft prevention and roadside assistance, and is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

Smoking & pets

Smoking is not permitted inside vehicles. Pets are allowed only with prior agreement; an additional cleaning fee may apply.
